Stranger Things: The First Shadow // Live on Broadway! August 2026

Image
Stranger Th ings: The First Shadow  follows the origin story of one of the series' main characters, Henry Creel, during his high school years. He is a major part of the fourth and fifth seasons of the show, and it's one of my favorite storylines in the entire series. I love everything about the Henry / Vecna / 001 developments in the fourth season especially, so to get a more in-depth look into who he is and why he became what he did in such an in-depth way is such a creative concept that they executed so well. It gives so much more clarity and depth to the timeline, filling in the gaps of what happened between the parts shown in the series.  The show opened on Broadway in 2025 following a successful ongoing run at London's West End, and I've been wanting to see it ever since it arrived in New York City . It's currently showing at the Marquis Theatre, which I last visited in 2016 to see Penn & Teller's Broadway show. The upper lobby of the hotel the theater ...

Terrible Thrills Vol. 3 #1 vinyl by Bleachers featuring Mitski + 5 years since I met Jack Antonoff at Electric Lady Studios!

The Terrible Thrills project was created as a concept by Jack Antonoff and his collaborators in 2010 to reimagine his band's music through the voices of a wide range of incredibly talented female artists. It began with Volume 1, with a collection of Steel Train songs reinterpreted and reshaped by some of the band's personal favorite musicians. The tradition continued with Bleachers for Volume 2, which featured new versions of Strange Desire in its entirety (which is so underrated), expanding the idea into this new chapter of his artistry.  In 2019, the project evolved again into a new format as an exclusive vinyl club series. Four songs were reimagined by incredible artists, paired with demos and alternate versions of tracks from Gone Now . It became such a unique, ever‑changing concept - one that grew over nearly a decade, adapting to each album cycle in its own way. On the band's webstore, they wrote; "The concept behind Terrible Thrills is to create a final vers...

Billie Eilish live in New York City! // HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: The Tour Madison Square Garden Night 2

Image
Seeing Billie Eilish perform live for the first time on the second night of her HIT ME HARD AND SOFT Tour in New York City was such an unforgettable experience! I have been lucky enough to have seen so many of my favorite artists live over the years, but this was truly the greatest show I have ever been to. Billie is a once in a lifetime talent and it was so surreal to get to see her on this incredible tour.  Hearing Billie's music for the first time in 2017, right when her first EP  don't smile at me  was released, was one of the most formative musical experiences of my life. All of her music has come to mean so much to me during that time and has been such a massive source of inspiration for me throughout those past seven years. She is truly the voice of our generation, and it is such an honor to be able to witness her talents in person for the first time. She has the most gorgeous live vocals and is such a captivating performer. The entire setlist was so perfect, i...
