My Favorite Beauty Products of 2021

Image
In 2021, I didn't wear makeup as often or bought as much as I have in the past - so many of my favorites in the past year were products that are staples in my collection that I have been using for years and have featured in many past posts. I have in-depth reviews of each of these products linked throughout this post if you are looking to learn more about any of them, as well!   For my favorite beauty products of 2021, I have chosen my top 10 broken down into 3 categories; eyes, lips and face.  E Y E S Colourpop Pressed Powder Eyeshadow  As always, my absolute favorite eyeshadow formula every year continues to be Colourpop's Pressed Powder Eyeshadows . They come in a huge range of shades, from neutral, colorful, bright, muted, monochromatic - you name it and Colourpop has a palette for it! Their formula is the best there is, it is amazing quality for both makeup professionals and beginners. Each palette has a great color payoff that can be applied to be very pigmente...

THE BEST TINTED LIP BALMS

Image
Tinted lip balms have been my go-to lip products to use throughout the spring and summer because of the simple, light and moisturizing feeling. They also have just enough pigment to give a pop of color to the lips, without the commitment of wearing a normal lipstick.  Seemingly every brand is releasing their own variation of a tinted lip balm and there are endless options if you're interested in a product like this. These are my three favorites that I use and alternate between all the time!  Rare Beauty With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm The Rare Beauty Lip Balm is so versatile in the way that it can be built up to have the opacity of a full-coverage lipstick or sheered out for just a tint of color. Either way you like to wear it, this balm has an intensely moisturizing feeling to it, that lingers long after the pigment has faded. The texture feels similar to pure coconut oil, which funny enough isn't even an ingredient. It is made primarily with shea butter and a botanical blend o...

My Favorite Beauty Products of 2020

Image
My yearly favorites posts have become a tradition on my blog since I started in 2017 and even though in 2020 I didn't wear makeup as often as I usually do, I still want to share some of my favorites of the year! This list is comprised of some old favorites that have been featured in many of my end of the year wrap-ups, as well as new products that I tried for the first time in 2020. I narrowed it down to five products per category to show you the best of the best! For nearly every product on this list, I have a dedicated in-depth review of it on my blog which will be linked throughout the post in case you wanted to learn more about anything mentioned!  E Y E S Colourpop Super Shock Shadow // "Ritz" Colourpop's Super Shock Shadows   have been my all-time favorite makeup product for years, but this year I discovered a new shade that has quickly become an absolute must-have!  Ritz has a sheer nude base with extra fine silver sparkle. This shadow will give you a glittery ...

RARE BEAUTY BY SELENA GOMEZ // REVIEW

Image
Ever since Selena Gomez announced her brand new cosmetic line earlier this year, I have been anticipating the day I would finally get to try the products! Rare Beauty launched earlier this month and is exclusive to Sephora and the brand's website. They came in full swing with an extensive range of products (almost enough for a full-face of makeup!), paired with massive shade ranges for each category.  Selena is someone I have admired and been a huge fan of for basically most of my life at this point, so it was really exciting when I heard she was venturing out and creating her own makeup brand. The name corresponds with her latest album, Rare , which is a title that truly reflects the deeper meaning behind her music and now these products, as well.  "We empower our Rare Beauty community to challenge beauty norms by shaping positive conversations about self-acceptance and mental health. Our community is inclusive, welcoming and connected." Before I even saw any of the prod...
