"White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter" by Lana Del Rey Whoopsie daisy yoo-hoo! Lana Del Rey is back with a new single off her upcoming album Stove , and it already feels like an instant classic in her catalog. She embodies a sound and style that's unmistakably unique, blending an enchanting Southern‑Gothic, witchy‑princess vibe - a description that's incredibly specific, but really does captures the tone of the song so well. It feels unlike anything she, or anyone else, has ever made before, and it reflects the new stage of life that's inspiring this era of her work. There's a special charm running through the entire song, serving as the strongest reminder (if anyone needed one) of what an artistic force she is and always has been. Lana creates music that is so singular to her vision; no matter how abstract the idea might seem on paper, she pulls it off with an effortlessness that only she can capture. "Be The One" by Dua Lipa // Song Review

Image
"Be The One" is Dua Lipa 's debut single and one of the defining songs of her early career, marking the moment everything truly began for her. "For me, 'Be The One' is about self belief, perseverance, and fighting for what you want," she told NYLON in a 2015 interview. "In this instance, it's about a relationship but really, this is an attitude I try to bring into everything in my life." When she was first approached with it by her collaborators, she wasn't sure she wanted to record it, but she im...

brat and it's completely different but also still brat by Charli xcx // remix album review

brat and it's completely differe nt but also still brat totally redefined the concept of a remix album. To top off the massive year Charli xcx had following the release BRAT , she took the concept of that album and every single song and completely transformed it into something brand new. It takes the idea that every song's concept, or even just song title, can have so many different lives that can be (and should be) explored further than just the original version of it. Many of the songs don't even feature a single lyric or melody from the original versions, but still find a way to expand and evolve the meaning behind each. Charli's approach to this project is as artful as it is groundbreaking and its long overdue for her to finally get her flowers. By embracing the reworking of concepts, Charli showcases the dynamic potential that exists within her music. "I think what's interesting about the remix album... is I was writing the original record when I was in ...
