Happy First Monday in May! This year's Met Gala is celebrating the opening of the second part of The Costume Institute's annual exhibition at The Metropolitan Musem of Art titled "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion". This year's theme is Gilded Glamour, which is very fitting for what is traditionally known as "fashion's biggest night out", and always full of opulence and glamour. I love seeing all of the creativity and artistry that goes into the designs for this event. It's the First Monday in May , which means it is fashion's biggest night out at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Met Gala ! The theme for this year's exhibition is "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion", which blends nature and technology into the art of preserving fragile archival pieces spanning hundreds of years. I always look forward to visiting The Costume Institute's new exhibits every year at The Met and I am looking forward to visiting this one soon! It is made up of 250 timeless pieces from The Met's archive that are too fragile to ever be worn again, which are aptly being called "sleeping beauties".
