Four by One Direction // 10 Year Anniversary Album Review

Image
Does it ever drive you crazy just how fast the night changes? One Direction 's fourth album, aptly titled Four , marked significant beginnings and ends for the band. In many ways it marked a new era for all five of them, as they were able to have significantly more creative freedom with the overall creation of these songs. In turn, that elevated the band's sound to something much closer to their own personal influences and life experiences.  It is the best album they made as a band, between the release of  Midnight Memories  in 2013 and  Four  in 2014, they showed such a huge leap in personal growth and were fully solidified as some of the greatest pop stars of all time. There was no one bigger than One Direction at that point in time, they fully dominated music for the five short years they were together and continue to make a lasting impact on the industry. There was nothing like it before and there will never be anything like it again. Four features quite a ...

HARRY STYLES // MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NIGHT 2

Image
I recently saw Harry Styles live for the first time! I've had the tickets to see him at Madison Square Garden in New York City for nearly 13 months and it was so worth the wait. In today's post, I'm going to be sharing my experience from the concert - Enjoy! His debut self-titled solo album is easily one of my all-time favorite albums. Harry sang it in its entirety, along with 2 unreleased songs, 3 One Direction songs and 3 cover songs.  Most people would probably know Harry from being in One Direction, aka one of the biggest boy bands of all time. I've been a big fan of them since late 2011/early 2012 before their first album even came out in America. I was so happy when he sang 3 of the band's songs; Stockholm Syndrome , If I Could Fly , and What Makes You Beautiful . I love that he still plays those songs even though he's solo now - something that I don't think any of his former bandmates would do. Harry changed the songs a bit to cater more to ...

HARRY STYLES // 5 YEAR ALBUM ANNIVERSARY REVIEW

Image
It has officially been 5 years since Harry Styles released his self-titled debut solo album and I thought now felt like the perfect time to go back and reflect on it! Back when this album was released in 2017, it would actually be a few months before I even started my blog and even at that, I didn't start writing long-form album reviews in the way I often do now until 2020. There are so many albums that I love and never had the chance to properly review, many of which I want to revisit like this and share my thoughts on now. For this 5 year anniversary, and with the imminent release of Harry's third album Harry's House this week, it feels like the perfect time to reflect on where it all started for him as a solo artist. I included this release on my top 10 favorite albums of the decade post in 2019 because it truly was signifying the birth of one of this generation's most captivating artists. Harry's debut album, made up of 10 incredible songs, was just the first...

Click here to read about my favorite makeup products of 2017!  Melodrama - Lorde The albums on this list are in no particular order, but I knew I had to talk about Melodrama first. Not only is it my favorite album of 2017, but it is actually one of my all-time favorites. I have listened to it over and over since the day it was released, and I never get bored of it. All of the songs on Melodrama are incredible and tell a really beautiful story. I really discovered the beauty of Lorde's music in 2017 and I am so happy I did. She is now one of my favorite artists that have made such a positive impact on me in the past...

Taylor Swift: Storyteller // Exhibit at Museum of Arts and Design in New York City!

Image
Taylor Swift: Storyteller is a career-spanning exhibit that celebrates every aspect of her artistry, from live performances, music videos, and photoshoots. It is currently on display in New York City at the Museum of Arts and Design through March 2024. Taylor is such a prolific storyteller, both in her music and in all of the accompanying visual aspects of her work. She has such a strong talent for bringing her music to life in so many different ways and has always been able to craft such a detailed, intricate universe within her art in a way like no other. This exhibit featured so many iconic and instantly recognizable pieces of her history that was so exciting and surreal to see up close.  This exhibit opened earlier this year in New York City and I knew ever since it was announced, I wanted to go to it on my birthday! Almost every year I celebrate my birthday in NYC and this ended up being yet another perfect day in the city! I had the chance to see another exhibit back in 20...
