ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder- "Fiji Matte"


For only $4, this is a great deal for a product that is very comparable to a high-end duo. Both of the blush and bronzing powder are long lasting with buildable pigmentation and complimentary on my fair skin tone. The bronzing powder also makes the perfect eyeshadow shade for my crease. It is also perfect for travel with the built in mirror and compact packaging!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder- "001 Transparent"

I have used this pressed powder for over four years and is definitely my most repurchased product from my makeup collection. I have very dry skin all year round and it does a great job of setting my foundation/concealer without accentuating my pores or dry spots. It also does a great job of shine control without looking cakey, as I have seen on friends and family with oily skin.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow- "Weenie" 


Don't let the $5 price fool you, the Colourpop Super Shock Shadow is very high quality and is by far my favorite eyeshadow formula I have ever tried. My favorite shade is "Weenie" which the Colourpop website describes as an "ultra metallic true rose gold", developed by popular YouTuber Kathleen Lights. "Weenie" is my go-to shadow for any occasion and I can always count on it lasting all day without fading or creasing. I have worn it on special occasions, concerts and even all day in 100° weather, the results were all the same! My preferred application method is using my finger, but a flat synthetic brush would work as well (both are recommended on the Colourpop website).

ELF Brushes


ELF Cosmetics has a wide variety of high quality brushes at such an affordable price. The brushes pictured above range from only $1-$2! I have been using these brushes for years now, and they still are in good condition and continue to distribute and blend the product very well. The metal barrel does tend to come off of the white wooden handle, but it is easily fixable with just a dot of glue. The brushes shown in the picture above are (top to bottom): eyeshadow brush ($1), blending eye brush ($1), defining eye brush ($1), foundation brush ($2) and total face brush ($2).

Wet & Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick- "Give Me Mocha"


Wet & Wild Liquid Catsuit is my favorite lipstick I have tried from the drugstore. The formula is very comparable to my favorite Kylie Cosmetics matte liquid lipstick in many ways. They both have a very different applicator, packaging and smell, but the longevity and quality is almost the same. For just a fraction of the price, it is a great alternative to other leading high-end matte liquid lipsticks. It now comes in an assortment of 13 shades, so you are sure to find one that suits you!

Happy Record Store Day! This year's ambassadors for the semi-annual event is one of my favorites, Paramore ! To celebrate the occasion, they released a few special vinyl variants, including Re: This Is Why  pressed on vinyl for the first time. This is an indie record store exclusive released in April 2024 for Record Store Day , which is an event held twice a year to celebrate independent record stores with dozens of new and exclusive music releases special for the occasion. SAFIYA NYGAARD x COLOURPOP COLLECTION REVIEW 🦇♥

For my first post of  the new year, I wanted to share my thoughts on one of my favorite makeup releases, the Safiya Nygaard x Colourpop collection ! Safiya is one of my favorite YouTubers and Colourpop is my favorite makeup brand, so this is a really exciting collaboration!  Safiya consistently makes a variety of really high quality and interesting videos that mainly focus on beauty and fashion. I admire how much time and research she puts into what she does, all of the work that is put into these videos really shows in the finished product. If you haven't watched her channel before, I really can't recommend it enough!  In August 2017, she started a series called " bad makeup science ", which is the basis of this new Colourpop lipstick collection. There are 6 lipstick shades that correlate with a shade she created in one of her videos. You can check out the playlist of videos that inspired her collection here . The 1975: Live at Gorilla // Record Store Day Exclusive Vinyl 2024

Happy Record Store Day! To celebrate the recent ten -year anniversary of their self-titled debut album, The 1975 released a limited edition live album that was recorded in February 2023 at a surprise intimate show in their hometown of Manchester. This is an indie record store exclusive released in April 2024 for Record Store Day , which is an event held twice a year to celebrate independent record stores with dozens of new and exclusive music releases special for the occasion. So much of this album is inspired by their time in Manchester as teenagers and early 20's, so the setting really is so perfect! With the release of this album in 2013 , they became one of the most influential rock bands of this generation. This record is a testament to how far they've come since then, but also a celebration of the musical journey this album took them on as a band. GUTS by Olivia Rodrigo // Album Review

GUTS  is the highly anticipated sophomore release from Olivia Rodrigo , following up her massively successful debut album, SOUR , in 2021 . To have the level of success she has had right out the gate with her first-ever single "driver's license" in early 2021 is so rare and she quickly became one of the most notable pop artists to debut this decade so far. There are a lot of songs that I have come to really enjoy on this album, some of which are among my favorites of the entire year so far. When comparing  GUTS *  to  SOUR *,  they are alike in a lot of ways, both sonically and aesthetically. In my opinion,  GUTS  builds upon the foundation she and her producer/co-writer, Dan Nigro, set in place with  SOUR  really well. Olivia is in such an interesting and unique position as an artist right now.
