Camila Cabello x L'Oréal Havana Collection: Review

Camila Cabello is one of my favorite artists, so I was obviously very excited when she announced her collaboration with L'Oréal for a collection inspired by her hometown and hit song, Havana. In today's post I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on what I tried from the collection! Enjoy!

Single Eyeshadow // $9.99 each

When I first saw a picture of this collection, I was immediately drawn to the single eyeshadows. These are the first I've tried from the brand, but I've heard a lot of great things about L'Oréal's eyeshadow formula in the past.

The rose gold/bronze shade is called "Oh-Na-Na" (I love that name!). The texture of the shadow feels almost like a hybrid between a cream and powder, even though it is technically marketed as a powder shadow. The formula actually reminds me a lot of Colourpop's Super Shock Shadows, which are my all-time favorite single shadows.

"Oh-Na-Na" has a really vibrant metallic finish that stays on all day. If you're looking for an easy everyday lid shade - I highly recommend this shade from the collection. My go-to look when using this is just applying it all over my eyelid using my finger and apply a matte camel brown shade in the crease. Whenever I do that it looks like I took a lot more time on my eyeshadow than I actually did.

Based on the pictures I saw of the collection, I wasn't planning on buying the shimmery green shade called "Hot Havana", but seeing it in person at Ulta made me change my mind. I never really wore green eyeshadow before, but surprisingly this shade is a lot more wearable than I thought!

I applied it with a fluffy eyeshadow brush the first time I used it - thinking that it would just be a sheer wash of color - but it was actually so pigmented and full of glitter.

I initially thought the glitter was just going to be an overspray in the pan and would come off after the first use - but it isn't! The glitter is really prominent when you apply it and has very minimal fallout. You can apply it with your finger for a more sheer/buildable finish, but I personally like to apply it with a brush because it really shows off how beautiful and unique this shade is.

The formula is really high quality and versatile when compared to other shadows I've tried from the drugstore. If you try anything from the Havana collection, I highly recommend the single shadows! I will definitely be purchasing more in the future!

Lip Dew // $9.99 each

The other product that really stood out for me from this collection is the Lip Dew Lip Glosses. The shade I have is called "Lit Up" which is a sheer bronzy gloss with very subtle flecks of glitter. This is the only shade in the range with glitter in it, but it really isn't too visible. The formula is not sticky at all and feels very smooth and moisturizing on the lips.

The applicator is a lot bigger than the average lip gloss applicator, which I actually don't mind because it easily gives an even layer of product in less time.
It can sometimes hold too much of the product, so be cautious of that before putting it on. I used to love a lip gloss from New York Color that had a similar applicator, too.

From swatches I've seen online, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between any of the 4 shades since it is such a sheer formula. I would recommend just buying one since they will all essentially look the same once applied.

It has a strong scent when you're first applying it, but goes away quickly once it's actually on the lips. It isn't the typical vanilla scent that a lot of lip glosses have, it reminds me more of brownies or caramel. I personally love the scent of it, but if you're sensitive to scented makeup that might be a drawback for you.

This shade is also an exact dupe for the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb - it even has the same type of applicator. $18 just isn't a justifiable price for a lip gloss so this is a great alternative!

This is one of my favorite and most used lip products over the past few weeks!

The other products in this collection that I didn't try are; Sun-lit Liquid Bronzer // $14.99, Gotta Give Liquid Brow // $11.99 & Flash Liner Liquid Eyeliner // $11.99. Every product has the same turquoise floral packaging, which captures the Havana vibe of the collection perfectly.
