2019 Beauty Favorites
In today's post I'm going to be sharing my favorite makeup products of 2019! I always look forward to curating this list every year, so I'm excited to finally share it! This list is made up of a mix of new products I tried in 2019 and many that I've been using for years that have been mentioned in my previous end-of-the-year beauty lists. If you're interested in checking out my favorites from 2017 click here and 2018 click here.
I love so many different makeup products in these categories, but to avoid this post from being too long or redundant I narrowed it down to only a few per category. If you're interested in hearing my thoughts on more products (or more detailed reviews of these), you can check out my other reviews from throughout the year which I'll link at the end of the post!

Colourpop Super Shock Shadows // $6
I've been using the Colourpop Super Shock Shadows for about 4 years and they have consistently remained my absolute favorite makeup products I've ever used. Colourpop is constantly releasing new products, but the Super Shocks are really a classic from the brand that you can never go wrong with! This is the easiest way to add a little extra to any eye look! I like to apply all of my Super Shocks by using my finger and pressing it directly to my eyelid. There are dozens of shades available with a range of finishes, so there will surely be a shade available that suits your makeup preferences! My personal favorites are the Ultra Glitter & Ultra Metallic finishes. This is an incredibly innovative product that I can't recommend enough!

NYX Mystic Petals Palette // $12
Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Liquid Eyeshadows // $5
This is the most comparable product I found to the amazing (but highly overpriced) Stila Magnificent Metals liquid eyeshadows - except this is only $5 and works exactly the same as the products that are 5x the price! It's the easiest way to add a bit of shimmer to the eyelids without making a mess and getting glitter fallout on your face. It lasts all day and is so versatile with any eyeshadow look. I've repurchased this particular shade so many times because it's truly the best!

Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick // $17
My go-to lipstick is always the Matte Liquid Lipsticks from Kylie Cosmetics! I have so many shades of this formula now and they are so beautiful and consistent in quality. This formula lasts all day long without fading, smudging, or overly drying my lips. If you don't use matte liquid lipsticks, Kylie Cosmetics has several other formulas that may work better for you! I'm working on a comprehensive guide to Kylie Cosmetics lip products, which I'll be posting early next year so be sure to come back soon for that! I know there's a lot of hype around the Kylie Cosmetics brand, but I believe for good reason. Everything I've tried from the brand I've absolutely loved!

Flower Beauty Galaxy Glaze Lip Gloss // $9
This will forever be my all-time favorite lip gloss and one of the best makeup products I've ever used! The Galaxy Glaze glosses give the most magical and beautiful glittery sparkle when applied. Photos and swatches really can't do this product justice, it's something you have to see in person to get the full effect of what I'm talking about. There really isn't much else to say about this gloss, but it's the best of the best and something I can't recommend enough!

MAC Lustre Lipsticks // $18
MAC has a range of what feels like hundreds of different lipsticks, so it can be a little overwhelming if you were looking to buy a new lipstick from the brand. The shade "Syrup" is a universally flattering mauve pink with a sheer finish. I especially love to mix this shade with a variety of different lip liners and glosses to really customize the look of it. I personally prefer MAC's lustre lipstick line over their mattes, since they are so much more comfortable and require less maintenance and touch-ups throughout the day.

Kylie Cosmetics Powder Blush // $18
Out of all the blushes I've tried, this formula is my all-time favorite! It has the perfect amount of pigmentation to give a natural flush of color to the cheeks and lasts all day - even in the humidity and heat of the summer! I also love to layer this with the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb (which are coming up on this list soon too!) to make this product even more long-wearing! I was skeptical about trying a higher-end blush because I thought it wouldn't be any different than what's at the drugstore, but this is really amazing quality and well worth the price!

Baddie on the Block
Kylie Cosmetics Kylighter // $20
This highlighter gives such a beautiful natural shine to the skin, and doesn't look powdery or cakey throughout the day. To make the shine more prominent, I recommend layering it on top of a cream highlight base. There is a small amount of glitter in it, but it doesn't apply like a strip of glitter on the face like some highlights can. In the sunlight it just adds a little extra sparkle!

KKW Highlighter // $18
"Tempting" is also an exclusive product to the KKW Beauty 2019 Holiday Duo and is beautiful shimmering champagne gold. I don't usually go for golden highlighters, but this actually compliments my fair skin tone really well. This shade would likely be best suited for fair to medium skin tones. I also love to use this as an eyeshadow, as well! There is a glittery finish, but not in an unnatural or overpowering way. It can be diffused for a natural look or built up for more of a glam look. This has become one of my favorite highlighters!

Flower Beauty Blush Bomb // $10
Cream blushes can be a bit of an intimidating product to use, since it's easy to apply too much and difficult to blend to make it look natural. The Blush Bombs are very pigmented, so a little bit goes a long way (I typically don't use much more than a pea sized amount). Even though it's so pigmented, it's easy to apply and blend out. If you end up putting on too much, I would recommend going over it with a little bit of concealer to tone the color down. This product would be perfect for both oily and dry skin, because it is long-lasting, but also doesn't accentuate any dryness.

Flower Beauty Shimmer & Strobe Highlighting Palette // $14
I love this highlighting palette because even though it's a powder formula, it actually applies and looks like a cream. It gives such a glossy reflect on the cheek bones, which looks so beautiful and natural. All three of these shades are distinctly different, while also still being flattering on my skin tone, which is something I don't often find with palettes like this. This particular palette will best suit fair to medium skin tones, but there is also another palette available that will better suit deeper skin tones!
Thanks for reading! Leave a comment below what your favorites and what you thought of some of mine! I'll be posting my favorite alums of 2019 & my favorite albums of the decade very soon, so be sure to come back soon for that! Happy Holidays!
