"DANCE..." by Slayyyter // Song Review

Image
"DANCE..." is the breakthrough hit from Slayyyter , a pure nightlife dance anthem encapsulating all of the grit, glamour, and chaos of a night out. The song is built on an incredibly infectious beat, anchored by an indelible hook that feels seductive, synthy, and hypnotic all at once. In so many ways, it carries the energy of a future pop classic.  This serves as the opening track off of her 2026 album  WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA and was promoted as the album's fourth single alongside its official announcement. It introduces so many of the themes and overarching narrative threads that run through the rest of the album, acting almost like a mission statement for the world she's built around it. "What You Want" by Angèle & Justice // Song Review

Image
"What You Want" is a bold electronic club anthem that serves as the perfect blend between Justice - the French electronic duo made up of Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé - and Belgian pop singer Angèle . It was the first time we met, and we talked a lot about our careers and our creative visions. I spontaneously suggested they come to the studio. We spent an afternoon listenin...

It introduced a more mature and darker electronic sound with pop roots, fully encompassing a very specific sense of grit and Hollywood glamour as well. There's vivid lyricism used throughout, with such an addicting hook. She sings about a forbidden love affair and the moral confliction, or lack thereof, that she's experiencing in the process. "Never really felt bad about it, as we drank deep from the lie, 'cause I felt melting magnets, babe the second I saw you through half-shut eyes". Disclosure first collaborated with Lorde at the 2014 BRIT Awards on a live mashup of her song "Royals" with their song "White Noise". From there, they ended up reconnecting shortly after in London as the British electronic duo was finishing up their album,  Caracal,  making it a last minute addition to the track list.  ...
