Happy New Year! For my first post of the year, I'm going to be sharing my favorite albums of 2018. So many of my favorite artists released music this year and I discovered several new musicians as well - so I'm very excited to share them with you! I've been looking forward to writing this post all year and I have loved curating this list throughout 2018. I hope you enjoy reading it! sweetener // Ariana Grande The most anticipated album of 2018 for me was Sweetener by Ariana Grande. I love all of her albums so much, but this is my favorite. I can see that it wasn't made in the way her other albums were - it feels more genuine and complete in comparison to her past releases. Sweetener shows how much she has grown as a person and as a musician over the past two years. I absolutely love every single song on this album that its hard to even pick my favorites.  My favorite songs: blazed feat. Pharrell Williams R.E.M God is a woman no tears ...

5 Seconds Of Summer has been one of my all-time favorite bands for the past 5 years. This was my fourth time seeing them live, and they get better and better every time!  They opened the show with "Babylon", which is a bonus track on the deluxe edition of their new album, "Youngblood". This is one of the best songs on the album, and I know it's also a fan-favorite, so this was a great choice of a song to come out to. The set list was the perfect mix of their older songs and songs from their new album. They actually played more of their older songs than I thought they would, but they did leave out some of my favorites like, "Good Girls", " Heartbreak Girl", and "Permanent Vacation". I loved the energy in the venue when they played their classics like;  "She's Kinda Hot", "Girls Talk Boys", "Waste The Night", "Amnesia", and of cours e, "She Looks So Perfect"...

I recently had the most amazing time seeing one of my favorite bands ever perform in New York City at Madison Square Garden ! This was my 5th time seeing 5 Seconds of Summer and they truly just keep getting better every time! They have been one of my favorite bands for nearly a decade and it is so crazy to think of how much time has passed since I started listening to them. The first show 5SOS show I went to was in 2015 at Hersheypark Stadium, nearly eight years ago to the day. I just turned 16 at the time and here I am now, just having turned 24 still being the biggest fan of their music. That connection and community is so special to be a part of for so long. Hearing them play so many of their older songs that they haven't performed in years transports me back to those days, music is so powerful in that way.
