Happy Halloween! In today's post I'm going to be sharing some of my favorite celebrity costumes from this year - enjoy! 

Ariana Grande

Ariana's costume this year is based off of one of my favorite episodes from The Twilight Zone called "Eye of the Beholder". The prosthetics are so incredibly well-done and so accurate to the original episode. Ariana always goes all out with her Halloween costumes, but this is definitely one of her best and most creative!


Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner is another who goes all out with her Halloween costumes every year! This year she had so many different costumes, but the one that stood out the most was her as Marilyn Monroe for the cover of V Magazine's digital Halloween issue. She perfectly encapsulated Marilyn's glamorous style! 

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian dressed up as the iconic Legally Blonde character Elle Woods. Like the character from the movie, Kim is also a law student, which makes this so perfect. Kim even recreated Elle Woods' Harvard Video Essay scene by scene from the movie, which was such a fun addition to the costume! 

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid went as The Mask this year, which is such a creative idea! Patrick Ta, one of my favorite makeup artists, somehow made a full-face of green makeup look really beautiful and chic! 

The Weeknd

The Weeknd looks unrecognizable in a classic Joker costume, reminiscent of the original Batman TV show!

Liza Koshy

I absolutely loved Liza Koshy's Anna Wintour costume this year! It's even more fitting that she's been doing so much with Vogue over the past couple of years on their YouTube channel - I highly recommend checking out her interviews from the Met Gala, I look forward to watching them every year! 

Vanessa Hudgens & Austin Butler

Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler made the perfect pair as Jack & Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas! I always love to see what they dress up as every year! 

Halsey

For Halsey's Almost Famous themed Halloween party, she went as a glam Marilyn Manson - I really love the way she did her makeup and all of the details she incorporated into the look. The theme of the party was dedicated to guest's favorite artists of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s!

Nina Dobrev

Nina Dobrev was one of many who recreated Billie Eilish's iconic look. She really nailed it with the details of the lime green roots, black ink tears inspired by her music video, and oversized Louis Vuitton tracksuit. 

Jesse Tyler Ferguson & Justin Mikita

Billie Eilish was definitely a popular costume choice this year and I really love the way Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita did their take on it. This was inspired by Billie and Finneas' recent performance of "i love you" on SNL! Just like Nina Dobrev, they also really nailed all of the details of their outfits!

GUTS by Olivia Rodrigo // Album Review

GUTS  is the highly anticipated sophomore release from Olivia Rodrigo , following up her massively successful debut album, SOUR , in 2021 . To have the level of success she has had right out the gate with her first-ever single "driver's license" in early 2021 is so rare and she quickly became one of the most notable pop artists to debut this decade so far. There are a lot of songs that I have come to really enjoy on this album, some of which are among my favorites of the entire year so far. When comparing  GUTS *  to  SOUR *,  they are alike in a lot of ways, both sonically and aesthetically. In my opinion,  GUTS  builds upon the foundation she and her producer/co-writer, Dan Nigro, set in place with  SOUR  really well. Olivia is in such an interesting and unique position as an artist right now. SAFIYA NYGAARD x COLOURPOP COLLECTION REVIEW 🦇♥

For my first post of  the new year, I wanted to share my thoughts on one of my favorite makeup releases, the Safiya Nygaard x Colourpop collection ! Safiya is one of my favorite YouTubers and Colourpop is my favorite makeup brand, so this is a really exciting collaboration!  Safiya consistently makes a variety of really high quality and interesting videos that mainly focus on beauty and fashion. I admire how much time and research she puts into what she does, all of the work that is put into these videos really shows in the finished product. If you haven't watched her channel before, I really can't recommend it enough!  In August 2017, she started a series called " bad makeup science ", which is the basis of this new Colourpop lipstick collection. There are 6 lipstick shades that correlate with a shade she created in one of her videos. You can check out the playlist of videos that inspired her collection here . Tragic Kingdom by No Doubt // Newbury Comics Exclusive Rainbow Vinyl

Tragic Kingdom is the hit breakthrough album by  No Doubt , released in 1995 to widespread critical acclaim. Blending a mix of pop, punk, rock and ska, it was a groundbreaking album for the music landscape of the mid-90's and instantly became a timeless classic. It was the band's third album together, which differed quite a bit from their first two lesser-known records, partly because of the interpersonal drama within the lives of the members at the time. For the first time, No Doubt's music was mainly written from the perspective of the band's frontwoman  Gwen Stefani . This album was just the start of Gwen becoming the major force in pop music that she was for much of the next decade to follow. This record still is just as relevant now as it was then, I hear the influences of  Tragic Kingdom and Gwen's emblematic attitude try to be replicated by so many modern pop and rock records released today.  This album spawned several massive hits for them, including "S
