THE BEST TINTED LIP BALMS

Tinted lip balms have been my go-to lip products to use throughout the spring and summer because of the simple, light and moisturizing feeling. They also have just enough pigment to give a pop of color to the lips, without the commitment of wearing a normal lipstick. 

Seemingly every brand is releasing their own variation of a tinted lip balm and there are endless options if you're interested in a product like this. These are my three favorites that I use and alternate between all the time! 

Rare Beauty With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm



The Rare Beauty Lip Balm is so versatile in the way that it can be built up to have the opacity of a full-coverage lipstick or sheered out for just a tint of color. Either way you like to wear it, this balm has an intensely moisturizing feeling to it, that lingers long after the pigment has faded. The texture feels similar to pure coconut oil, which funny enough isn't even an ingredient. It is made primarily with shea butter and a botanical blend of lotus, gardenia, and white water lily. It feels so light and gives such a beautiful dewy shine to the lips. I have the shade "Thankful" which is a nude mauve.

Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek Stick



The Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek Stick is the perfect two-in-one cream product! This is formulated to be used on the cheeks as a luminous blush, or as a hydrating tinted lip balm. The pigment can be built up for more opacity, but I usually prefer the sheer look with this product. Since it is such a light formula, it does wear off quite easily, but this it is so easy to touch-up throughout the day. I also love the way it layers with lip liner and gloss too! When I'm getting reading for my Zoom classes in the morning, I usually only have a few minutes to get ready, so this is always my go-to product when I need something quick and easy to put on. I apply a swipe of it on both of my cheeks and dab a bit of it on my lips and blend it all out with my fingers. It's so easy to blend that you don't even need a mirror! I have the shade "Werk" in the mini size.

Clinique Almost Lipstick



This Clinique product has a very sheer finish that doesn't add much pigment to the lips at all. According to Clinique's website, the transparent pigment merges with the natural tone of your lips to create a finish unique to you. I have the shade "Black Honey" which may look very dark and intense color in the tube, but it actually applies as a very light berry. It has a semi-glossy satin finish that feels so moisturizing on the lips and fades evenly throughout the day of wearing it.

SAFIYA NYGAARD x COLOURPOP COLLECTION REVIEW 🦇♥

For my first post of  the new year, I wanted to share my thoughts on one of my favorite makeup releases, the Safiya Nygaard x Colourpop collection ! Safiya is one of my favorite YouTubers and Colourpop is my favorite makeup brand, so this is a really exciting collaboration!  Safiya consistently makes a variety of really high quality and interesting videos that mainly focus on beauty and fashion. I admire how much time and research she puts into what she does, all of the work that is put into these videos really shows in the finished product. If you haven't watched her channel before, I really can't recommend it enough!  In August 2017, she started a series called " bad makeup science ", which is the basis of this new Colourpop lipstick collection. Re: This Is Why by Paramore // 2024 Record Store Day Exclusive Ruby Red Vinyl

Happy Record Store Day! This year's ambassadors for the semi-annual event is one of my favorites, Paramore ! To celebrate the occasion, they released a few special vinyl variants, including Re: This Is Why  pressed on vinyl for the first time. Happy Record Store Day! To celebrate the recent ten -year anniversary of their self-titled debut album, The 1975 released a limited edition live album that was recorded in February 2023 at a surprise intimate show in their hometown of Manchester. This is an indie record store exclusive released in April 2024 for Record Store Day , which is an event held twice a year to celebrate independent record stores with dozens of new and exclusive music releases special for the occasion. So much of this album is inspired by their time in Manchester as teenagers and early 20's, so the setting really is so perfect! With the release of this album in 2013 , they became one of the most influential rock bands of this generation. This record is a testament to how far they've come since then, but also a celebration of the musical journey this album took them on as a band. When all is said and done, you'll believe God is a Woman!  I absolutely love all of the  fragrances   Ariana Grande  has released over the years, so when I found out that she was coming out with another I was so excited! Her song " God is a Woman " is also so iconic and one of my all-time favorites, so that made me look forward to it even more.
