One of the stand-out moments from the AMAs this year was Taylor Swift winning Artist of the Decade. Over the past ten years, no one has impacted the music industry and pop culture in the way that Taylor has. In her acceptance speech, she talked about how every artist's goal is "to create something that will last", and referenced how Carole King, who presented her with the award, has impacted her family's life for decades. So many people, including myself, have been influenced in the same way by Taylor and her music for the past 10+ years. I've been listening to her music since I was 9 years old (I'm 20 now) and even though my music taste has evolved over the years, she has consistently been one of my top favorite artists. I always go back and listen to her early music and feel the same way I did about it 11 years ago- if anything, I have a stronger appreciation for it now than I did back then. I can't really say the same about a lot of the music I listened to at that age. I could go on and on, but with all of that being said, she is so deserving of the Artist of the Decade award. I'm very excited to see what the next 10 years brings!

Billie Eilish's debut award show performance of "all the good girls go to hell" was another highlight of the show, as well. I've loved her music for over two years and I'm so happy that she's getting the recognition she deserves this year!

"Circles" & "Take What You Want" are two of my favorites off of Post Malone's newest album, Hollywood's Bleeding, so I love that he performed both at the show!

Even though it definitely wasn't her best performance vocally, I really love seeing Selena Gomez putting out new music again. She has always been one of my favorite artists and "Lose You To Love Me" & "Look At Her Now" are some of the best songs she's ever made - which makes me so excited to hear the rest of her album coming out next year!
