COLOURPOP OFF MELROSE EYESHADOW PALETTE // REVIEW

Image
Colourpop 's Off Melrose 12-pan eyeshadow palette has quickly become one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes in my makeup collection ever since I bought it last summer! Themed after Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles , one of my favorite cities in the world, I just knew I had to have this palette! The packaging is so pretty with palms trees and metallic gold embossing all over - it perfectly captures the spirit of LA. The shade names are also inspired by the culture of Los Angeles and more specifically Melrose Avenue, which if you aren't familiar, is a street in Beverly Hills that is well known for its trendy boutiques and coffee shops. I actually spent my 18th birthday there a few years ago, which brings back so many memories! This palette retails for $18 on Colourpop's website. It includes 5 matte shades, 6 metallic shades and 1 pressed glitter.  The shades in this palette are mostly cool-toned neutrals, which I have come to realize are some of the most flattering shades on me....

COLOURPOP IN A TRANCE PALETTE REVIEW

Image
Colourpop's "In A Trance" palette is the pastel color scheme I have been looking so long for! This palette was a part of their tie dye collection from this summer that I've had my eye on ever since. Pastels have been a big makeup trend over the past couple of years, but I could never find the right collection of shades that suited my preferences. I also hear that it can be difficult to formulate pastel eyeshadow, so I wanted to make sure I purchased from a brand whose quality I already know and trust. Colourpop has the absolute best eyeshadow formula for such an incredible price that cannot be beat. Based on how much I've been loving this over the last few months, this palette is no exception!  The "In A Trance" palette retails for $12 exclusively on Colourpop's website. It's a smaller 9 pan palette, which a series that they have been releasing consistently over the past few years. This is actually my first time trying one of their smaller palet...

COLOURPOP x LIZZIE McGUIRE EYESHADOW PALETTE REVIEW

Image
This Colourpop x Lizzie McGuire eyeshadow palette is what dreams are made of! These colorful pastels, mixed with the early 2000s nostalgia, is right on trend and has been an essential in my makeup routine all year.  I loved Lizzie McGuire when I was younger and when I saw my favorite brand, Colourpop , was collaborating with Disney for this palette, I knew I had to have it! This is a 12-pan palette made up of 5 metallics, 6 mattes and 1 pressed glitter and retails for $22 on their website.  Colourpop is one of the most dependable eyeshadow formulas on the market, and also just about all that I use in my makeup routine. Their metallics are always so smooth and ultra shiny while their mattes are soft, pigmented and easy to blend. All of the mattes are so bright and vivid, I never used a palette like this before. The way they look in the pan is exactly the way it looks when applied, which can be difficult to find. Many of the metallics have a duo-chromatic finish, which sealed ...

MY FAVORITE COLOURPOP SUPER SHOCK SHADOWS

Image
One of the best and most innovative makeup products I've ever tried are Colourpop's Super Shock Shadows. It was the first product I bought from the brand when I made my first order in 2016 and I've loved them ever since. Colourpop is one of my favorite brands that consistently makes incredible products and huge shade ranges - all at an affordable price. I have tried many of their products, but their Super Shock Shadows have always been a standout to me. This was also the first product the brand launched years ago, so this is really a classic in their lineup. It was such a revolutionary concept at the time, that other brands have tried to replicate since - but none of them do it quite like Colourpop does. I love to wear these all over the lid on it's own for a wash of color, or in conjunction with some of my favorite powder eyeshadows (which also happen to be from Colourpop!) . The Super Shock Shadows are a crème with a soft malleable texture, but apply and b...

Colourpop "Yes, Please!" Palette: Review

Image
Colourpop has constantly been coming out with new products this summer and I was so excited when they announced they would be coming out with the brand's first 12-pan pressed powder eyeshadow palette. It may seem that the beauty market is oversaturated with warm toned shadows, from the Anastasia Beverly Hills "Modern Renaissance" to the new Urban Decay "Naked Heat" palettes, however there aren't many options for those not willing to spend $50 on just one eyeshadow palette.  "Yes, Please!" retails for $16, which makes each shadow roughly cost $1.30 each. This is a great deal for eyeshadows that have the same quality, or even better, of high-end brands. Colourpop released single-pan pressed eyeshadows a few months ago, which retail for $5 each but have more product in it at 1.5g compared to the 12-pan size of .85g.  All of the shades are very pigmented and blendable with vibrant color payoff. 8 of the shadows are a matte fini...
