The Best Songs of November 2025 // New Music Friday!
"Evolve" by 5 Seconds of Summer
5SOS finally released their long‑awaited sixth album together, and it might be my favorite thing they've ever made. EVERYONE'S A STAR! fully leans into this fun, tongue‑in‑cheek energy that they have been perfecting all throughout their career, but this time through an even more refined and mature lens. I've been so obsessed with so many of their new songs, but I especially love the momentum that "Evolve" brings to the latter half of the album. It's going to be so incredible live and I can't wait to experience it next summer in New York City!
"Showbiz" by Hayley Williams
Hayley Williams released yet another bonus track from her incredible Ego Death at A Bachelorette Party, which first came out this summer as a series of singles. This new song was included as a bonus alongside the vinyl release, and it serves as such an emotional closing note to the album and the larger narrative she's been building, especially coming to terms with a major chapter of her life coming to an end. This has been one of my favorite albums of the year, and I've loved getting to hear each and every new piece of it as she continues to expand the story.
"House" by Charli xcx & John Cale
I've been long anticipating Charli xcx's next release, especially in this post‑BRAT era of her career, and this first glimpse into her Wuthering Heights soundtrack is everything I hoped for. She's always unafraid to take risks, and the first two songs from the project feel truly unlike anything she's made before. "House", the lead track, features John Cale of The Velvet Underground, which is a collaboration that feels especially meaningful given how much his work has inspired her over the years. It's such a cool, unexpected direction for her, bringing this avant‑garde chamber‑pop sound to life while continuing to expand her presence in film, both through her music and as an actress.
"Porcelana" by ROSALÍA
ROSALÍA's newest album, LUX, is such a wild listening journey. I honestly can't even describe it properly because it is so chaotic in the best way, a collision of styles and influences that somehow makes perfect sense only because it's her. There are so many standout moments and it flows beautifully as a full body of work, but "Porcelena" is especially a highlight.
"Something Drive" by Post Animal
Post Animal released an extended version of their album IRON, including two new bonus tracks, one of which was released last month, and now the final addition, "Something Drive". It's a small but meaningful expansion of the world they built on the record, and both songs feel like thoughtful closing notes to this era.
"North Poles - Live From First Avenue" by Samia
Samia released a new live album this month from her recent Bloodless tour, recorded in Minneapolis, and it's such a beautiful snapshot of who she is as a performer. I saw her last year at the Shadow of the City festival in New Jersey, and it was such a great experience. Listening to this live album now just makes me want to see her again even more! I've listened to her music so much this year and have only become a bigger fan of her work. "North Poles" is one of my favorites from her recent album, and I love hearing it reimagined in a live setting like this.
"Nightcall - Triple J Like A Version" by Inhaler
As part of Triple J's Like a Version cover series, Inhaler recently covered Kavinsky's "Nightcall", and it's such a cool reinterpretation. I absolutely love this series and have discovered so many artists and songs through it over the years. This is yet another standout cover and I love how Inhaler took the song and made it all their own.
"For Good" by Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande
Wicked: For Good is such a beautiful celebration of the people who enter your life and leave an indelible mark on you forever. It's a powerful representation of friendship and sisterhood in their purest forms, as well as a reminder of the younger versions of ourselves that continue to live within us years later. The final track "For Good" is just the most powerful way to close this chapter. Even if Glinda and Elphaba may no longer be in each other's lives in the same way as before, the song stands as a stunning reminder of the immeasurable impact they had on one another. Their bond, though changed, is insurmountable in its significance, leaving behind a legacy of love, friendship, and transformation that will never fade.

Thanks for reading! This has been the biggest month on my blog yet and I am so grateful to everyone that takes the time to support my writing. It is really surreal to see how much this has grown over the years and how many people I have been able to connect with through our shared love of music!
